Here’s my new Laurus bass!
It’s called Laurus Quasar Custom and I’m like a father to him, toghether with Pierluigi Cazzola who built it.
Laurus Quasar Red Canzian Project.
- Neck: 5 sections Maple/Amaranth. The neck is equipped with an Anticorodal and Steel adjustable both in concavity and in convexity with extreme precision;
- Fingerboard: phenolic resin with 24 frets (nickel-silver) only on the lower strings MI-LA (E-A) whereas on the RE-SOL (D-G) section is fretless-lined;
- The upper wing of the body incorporate a tonal chamber with a suspended harmonic plane which vibrating like a plate gives more richness to the instrument.
- There is also a tonal chamber in the central part of the body obtained directly from the neck, in that is applied a little tube for the chamber’s tuning;
- Humbuker dual-blade ceramic pick up;
- Passive tone control;
- Laurus adjustable brass nut;
- Standard Laurus precision mechanic;
- Custom bridge saddles with a “spoiler” that accentuate the sustain;
- Satind black polyurethane paint;
- Body in Kaya mahogany with a decorative top mad with a fourty years seasoned chestnut wood;
